The Do Good Institute at the University of Maryland, in collaboration with Independent Sector, announced the estimated value of a volunteer hour to be $36.14 in 2026. This represents a 3.9% increase from the previous year, according to data collected in 2025. This value is used by charitable organizations to recognize the community support from volunteers and by corporations to value their staff volunteer efforts.  Announced 4/21/2026.
